Vessel breakdown off Mana Island

A 5 metre runabout broke down in the middle of the northern part of Cook Strait. Total engine failure, all safety gear on board, good conditions.

The initial recovery was performed by a fishing vessel with the tow handed to Coastguard Mana once on-scene.
