MR2: Operational trainee group

MR2: Operational trainee group:0800 - 0900: Navigation markers and there uses - Session lead Kate - Identification and use of navigation markers & lights.  0900 - 1700: Area Familiarisation assessment/ helm/MOSS drills - the primary aim of the session was to test Alan & Zane's local area knowledge using traditional & electronic navigation and coastal pilotage techniques from Pukerua Bay to Ohau point. The assessment tested; general knowledge of local hazards, tides, safe port and anchorages, navigation markers & navigation lights at various locations along the 45 nm route.Notes: DPA kate - Trevor B repaired the port searchlight & TracPlus issues 2.5 hr
