Induction of new crew to MR1

3 new crew members were taken through the initial parts of the units induction program today.Coastguard Mana was also stood up by police for 2 tasks in the area;

(1) boat requiring a tow (2) person in the water from a kayak. Both tasks were sorted with the help of other boats in the immediate area and Coastguard Mana was stood down.

Crew had responded to base for the second incident and we took the opportunity with the induction crew on site to show them some of the local area and sea conditions with a trip from our base at the Mana Cruisng Club around mana Island and back. The trip provided good helm training for one of our trainee masters
