Masters training in heavy weather. Planned to deploy buoy at tidal diamond A, leave for 15 minutes then go to estimated position based on charted tidal streams. Weather deteriorated so in the 15 m inutes we did heavy weather handling against the sea and with the sea. We tracked past the buoy several times befroe picking up 15 minutes later. We marked on GPS where it had got to and plotted position back at base. It had tracked almost opposite to predicted path. This was not due to windage as it had gon across the wind. All in all an interesting exercise in the vagaries of the tidal streams around Mana
