Planned pilotage to leads and then outside Grandfather rocks and into Plimmerton Boat Club jetty. Route planned and logged, marked on chart. Master, navigator and helm appointed. MR2 launched full of fuel, trouble with start up of GPS, powered down and restarted. Nav light still snafu. Despite forecast and tide checks aborted plan at bar due to bar working in an unexpected way. Did MOB 3 times on way back trialling different methods. Lost bulb section of horseshoe buoy and batteries, became detatched when thrown in as marker, will need replacing asap. Master and Navigator swapped roles on return leg, discussed issues to do with fire on board and processes for abandoning ship
