Early start to sunday morning with 6 crew working the new rescue boat,
Training was directed at masters who have to recertify onto this boat from the old protector and work completed included: use of the jet unit, turns in place, use of the throttle/buck at low speeds to increase manoureving ability, speed work, sharp turns (for search patterns, S turns, maintaining station on a buoy and wharf, working around the pile lines (forward and reverse) coming alongside a vessell, control in choppy seas, quick stops and berthing.
