Group two initally went out to do cross bearings with hand held compasses to start learning how to plot positions onto the charts.  Group then split further - two went out in 4x4 to Plimmerton area to take 3 readings on the yellow bouy.  These details were to be radioed to base for the other two to plot on the chart position of the marker bouy.
