Navigation and area familiarisation for prospective navigator, with practical exercises in on board instrumentation. Training for trainee deck boss, with task allocation to crew, anchoring practice, and management of lookouts.
Anchored in quarry area; navigated at night close to NE side of mana; proceeded to safe water mark off bar and followed leads into harbour.
