Pelorus was used to venture out to the outer mooring at Shelly Bay to attempt mooring and towing practice. Conditions across the bar were quite intense and we moved back into the shelter of the channel.

Practiced tying up to a mooring whilst manouvring against the strong winds and even stronger tide. Put tow line on bow, moved it to stern whilst spinning around into the wind/tide, crossed the line across to the other side of the stern and then back to the bow. Conditions made this tricky but with patience and practice we got there in the end.

Other rope skills discussed and practiced.
