"Man Over board" is the last thing the master of a vessel wants to hear and it can lead to a very dangerous situation if the crews and masters don't respond quickly. So MOB drills are run through almost every time the vessels go to sea.
Tonight's training session was the theory behind the MOB drills. The crew discussed the first and second stage actions that must happen should someone fall over board. They also discussed the various methods of approaching and retrieving someone from the sea. It is very important the crews understand these techniques so they can react quickly.
