Three groups split up. One went out on Protector, one went out on Pelorus and the other stayed in the base and did radio work between both vessels.

The Protector crew took the boat out the channel and over the bar a couple of times to do some nighttime practice crossing the bar, holding station in the wind and navigating with the lights.

The Pelorus crew operated inshore under the Paramata bridge and in the marina doing manouvering, etc.

Turnout:
14 people
