Police callout for a dinghy that capsized/sank in Titahi Bay with 2 PoB. 1 person managed to swim to shore to raise the alarm while the other was still in the water. Police sent out Westpac Rescue Helicopter while we were responding. They found the vessel and then a short time later found the person. They directed us to the location, but by the time we got there they had washed up into the rocks on the shoreline. We were not able to approach due to breaking waves. Eventually a Police Officer was able to wade into the water and pull them onto shore.

We continued to search for the vessel as requested by Lazy Elizabeth IV. Once they arrive on scene an hour later we were stood down (after not finding anything) and returned to base.
