Runabout with a flat battery

Radio call CH 16 to CGM advising of battery failure. CGM skipper had left the base after completing a training session. Coastguard Kapiti's Pharazyn Rescue at Plimmerton Boating Club, picked up two Mana crew and went to south end of Mana Island, located vessel, rafted up and passed battery jumper cable across. Engine on casualty started. Vessel retruned to Mana Marina escorted by Pharazyn.
