Upturned vessel

MOTP called C/Guard base to report upturned boat and persons in the water. Skipper made contact to report all persons survived. Maritime police advised of drifting vessel, arranged broadcast warnings on channel 16, notified harbour ranger, etc. Mana C/G took skipper to the point at which wreckage was anticipated to come ashore - this was found in its entirety. Boat unsalvageable. Skipper to clean up his own wreckage. Skipper was advised to attend a DAYSKIPPER course and given a Maritime NZ resource kit.
