Search for runabout

Police callout via pagers. Information given was a 4mtr runabout anchored 1 km off Mana Island opposite Titahi Bay. Proceeded with CRV Pelorus to location given but nothing located and loss of light. Returned to base and launched Porirua Rescue to attempt to locate vessel using radar. Stood down by police after finding out that the vessel was towed to Titahi Bay by another member of the public.
